Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Write, rewrite, and edit technical documents including procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, and operational specifications.
Acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing production methods, and referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.
Oversee preparation of illustrative materials including drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts.
Conduct quality review of technical materials.
Edit and write operating procedures, acceptance test procedures, calibration procedures, installation procedures, and test requirements documents.
Support review and release processes for documents using Windchill.
Follow and support configuration management for the program.
Apply familiarity with ECSS, MIL-STD, or other aerospace documentation standards.
Understand change control processes and configuration management.
Requirements:
Ability to Obtain security clearance.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field.
6+ years of technical writing experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
PLM system experience with Windchill (required).
Familiarity with ECSS, MIL-STD, or other aerospace documentation standards.
Understanding of change control processes and configuration management.
Experience with test equipment documentation.
