The Inside Sales Support professional provides critical administrative and operational assistance to the Regional Sales Manager NSW and the broader commercial sales team. This role plays a key part in enabling the airlines sales organisation to build strong relationships, drive revenue, and maintain excellent customer service across key accounts. The position is office-based, focused on internal coordination, client communication, data reporting, and supporting the sales pipeline.
Sales Support:
- Assist Regional Sales Manager and the sales team with client relationship management, including preparing proposals and supporting documentation and data.
- Support the creation, tracking, and renewal of commercial agreements, incentive contracts, and corporate travel accounts.
- Help implement regional sales campaigns and promotions by coordinating internally with spaneting and externally with trade partners.
Client Communication & Relationship Management:
- Serve as a point of contact for travel agencies, corporate clients, and distribution partners regarding general sales support, pricing queries, fare rules, and booking policies.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to internal and external client requests, including fare quotes, schedule information, and post-ticketing support.
- Assist with onboarding new staff by providing documentation, training support, and account setup.
Administrative Support:
- Manage Regional Sales Manager calendar, book travel arrangements, and help coordinate team meetings, webinars, and events.
- Organise and maintain electronic filing systems for sales documentation, contracts, contact lists, and performance data.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items for internal and client meetings.
- Assist with expense reports, budget tracking, and procurement requests.
Sales Team Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between the commercial sales team and other departments such as revenue management, pricing, spaneting, and operations.
- Support regional and global sales initiatives by coordinating activities, tracking deliverables, and communicating status updates.
- Help onboard new sales team members by providing access to tools, systems, and training materials.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Collect, consolidate, and analyse sales data to provide regular performance reports, dashboards, and account summaries.
- Monitor booking trends and revenue performance to identify opportunities or risks in the spanet.
- Maintain CRM databases (e.g., Salesforce) with updated client activities, notes, and performance insights.
Qualification- Degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the airline or travel industry.
- Experience with airline reservation systems and GDS platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
