Lead, coach, develop and motivate a team to achieve individual and commercial objectives.
- Manage the day to day operations of the sales support team.
- Ensure that sales policies and sales support unit procedures are clearly understood, applied and adhered to by the team.
- Conduct regular team briefings to ensure that the team is aware of new products, policies and procedures as and when they are introduced.
- Provide necessary on job instructions and training to staff. Delegate tasks based on ability of the staff, ensuring whenever possible a fair and even distribution of work among the team.
- Conduct regular performance management reviews ensuring that objectives and development plans are clearly set out and provide regular feedback to team members and management.
- Assist with group quotations and liaise with Revenue Optimisation in Head Office to secure appropriate space and price approval in a timely manner.
- Handle all relevant administrative functions associated with Inclusive Tour and group quotations promptly and efficiently in order to maintain customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Manage dedicated AU and NZ Trade Mailboxes, Group Mailbox, & Daily Group Queues and handle relevant correspondence to trade and private customers.
- Record and produce accurately MEL Sales Support weekly statistics report and the monthly group sales report.
- Assist the Manager and wider sales team with any delegated administrative tasks.
Qualification- Completion of 12 Years of schooling or equivalent
- Experience in airline reservations with a minimum of 2 years at a supervisory level managing a team
- Thorough knowledge of standard fares and ticketing
- Familiar with analysing data and providing relevant statistics
- Good knowledge of Airline Group bookings and seat allocations
- Proficient in all MS Office applications including Excel and Word
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a busy team environment
- Ability to work independently using own initiative
