The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.
Role Description:
The Maintenance Manager ensures that all records and documentation are properly maintained, and that inspection requirements are scheduled and coordinated with the appropriate maintenance activities. This role is responsible for preparing specialized plans to support aircraft maintenance and leads small teams of mechanics, coordinating their activities under the direction of the Site Manager and the Director of Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be qualified as a Maintenance Rotor Wing Test Pilot, MTP and able to perform all the required associated duties.
- Review all maintenance records for discrepancies or updates to ensure it meets the aircraft mission needs in a timely manner.
- Provide daily assignments to mechanics to support flying schedule.
- Works with production and quality managers to ensure established procedures are followed.
- Provide Main Base and administrative support to the Maintenance and Engineering organization.
- Oversee all GSE and TMDE functions.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all DoS, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
- Ensure AWIS is updated correctly, work card and packages are closed properly.
- Communicate with management on any problems within the work area.
- Plan, support and attend weekly and monthly Operations scheduling meetings.
- Provide daily aircraft and personnel status to senior management.
- Ensure component records are updated and AOG demands are followed up.
- Ensure cannibalization for component and parts are updated in AWIS, and paperwork is completed.
- Ensure all aircraft and component life limited parts are maintained.
- Manage critical flight safety program.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws Perform other duties as assigned.
