Location: Filton, Bristol
Contract: 12-month ongoing
Security: Baseline Security Clearance required prior to start
Multiple shift patterns available:
• 2 Positions Weekend Nights 34 hours per week (Fri-Sun)
• 1 x 7 Day Fortnight Shift (Week 1 - 50 hours: M T W S S, Week 2 20 hours: T F)
**Please note, usually start on Core Days for a short period whilst training
Rates:
• Weekend Night Shift: 29.10 - with enhanced overtime rates
• 7 Day Fortnight Shift: 24.25 - with enhanced overtime rates
Profile:
To operate as a multi skilled flexible worker to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Tasks will be undertaken and work through the issue of:
Spraying, paint touch up and cleaning required use of:
• Power tooling
• Solvents and primer paints are required
Key deliverables:
• Ensure parts are produced in line with ‘right first time’ basis
• Ensure that any calibrated equipment used is within date
• Responsibility for the timely clearance of work phases using the SAP system
• Responsible for highlighting any non conformance to the process team leader
• Adhering to the requirements of GKNAF quality procedures
• Accountable for health and safety requirements under the Section 7 of the HASAWA 1974
• To hold first party inspection approval (M02 status is subject to obtaining an A stamp approval)
• Responsible for general housekeeping within the area
Requirements:
• Essential: Level 3 indentured apprenticeship in paint spraying (NVQ or City and Guilds)
• Ideally previous manufacturing experience in a factory environment.
• Ability to work to standard operating procedures
• Must be able to work in small teams with process leaders
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques to support GKNAF continuous improvement initiatives
• Self motivated team player with good communication skills
