* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* 3+ years of work-related aircraft painting experience
* Valid driver’s license required
* Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical publications
* Apply knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and paint mixing methods
* Follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail and focus
* Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with strong interpersonal skills
* Maintain aviation mechanic experience in fixed-wing or rotorcraft environments preferred
* Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Preferred Skills
* Aviation mechanic experience in fixed-wing or rotorcraft environments
* Familiarity with aircraft surface preparation and coating systems
* Experience supporting aircraft maintenance or production environments
* Understanding of paint application standards and color matching processes
* Exposure to FAA-regulated maintenance environments Job Duties & Functions
* Research technical data and execute aircraft painting tasks in compliance with maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company policies
* Prepare aircraft surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and chemical treatment prior to coating application
* Mix and adjust paint or coatings to the specified color, thickness, and consistency using standard formulas and charts
* Mask and protect aircraft surfaces not designated for painting
* Apply primer, protective coatings, decorative finishes, and sealants using spray equipment
* Maintain shop cleanliness and perform equipment maintenance and repair activities
* Strip paint, insignias, spanings, and coatings using stencils, patterns, and technical specifications
* Regulate curing and drying equipment controls for applied coatings
* Set up ventilators, exhaust systems, ladders, and scaffolding prior to painting operations
* Document completed training and ensure proper sign-off by Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
* Operate lifting and material handling equipment to position aircraft components for painting
* Support Lead Painter duties in their absence Physical Requirements & Environment
* Work in hangar and aircraft maintenance environments with exposure to industrial conditions
* Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods during shifts
* Lift and move materials and equipment using manual and mechanical lifting devices
* Operate spray equipment, ladders, scaffolding, and ventilation systems safely
* Wear required PPE, including respirators, gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing
