Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Lead Aviation Paint Mixer (Level D) to join the Paint Shop team in Coppell, Texas.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to understand the big picture and the inter-disciplines of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relations between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
Position Responsibilities:
Prepares paint formulation for mixing.
Sets up, operates, and cleans paint/de-paint and corrosion control equipment and tools.
Prepares and mix finish top coat paint using different shop equipment.
Effectively plan what is to be achieved and involve all relevant stakeholders.
Anticipate important or critical events, identifying resource requirements and assigning responsibility for specific work, including deadlines and performance expectations.
Demonstrate the use of information gathering techniques, analyzing situations and identifying implications in order to make correct decisions. Demonstrate ability to monitor progress and to make changes as required.
Ensures compliance with all relevant rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, contracts, facilities and other pertinent Company policies.
Can make adjustments to color if necessary.
Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Knowledge paint formulation and paint application techniques to evaluate, match, and develop decorative finishes
Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, and calibration requirements.
Knowledge and ability to utilize paint and de-paint equipment.
Experience in an Industrial Coating / Paint Manufacturing Plant or Laboratory environment
Good verbal, written, and basic computer and mathematical skills
