Strategic Support Solutions has immediate openings for motivated Aircraft Painters to join our growing 2nd Shift team in Greenville, SC. We are looking for dedicated individuals with experience in high-quality surface preparation and paint application.

This role is perfect for a painter with a solid foundation in the craft, including the ability to expertly apply primer. More experienced painters with topcoat and finishing skills are also strongly encouraged to apply and will qualify for the higher end of our competitive pay scale.

Your Mission:

As a 2nd Shift Aircraft Painter, you will be a key part of the team that prepares and finishes high-value aircraft. Your primary duties will include:

• Surface Preparation: Meticulously prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, stripping, and masking with precision.
• Primer Application: Expertly mix and apply primers to various aircraft components and surfaces, ensuring a smooth and consistent foundation for topcoats.
• Paint Application (for experienced candidates): Apply topcoats and clearcoats according to technical specifications.
• Equipment Maintenance: Properly clean and maintain all painting equipment, including spray guns, pots, and hoses, to ensure optimal performance.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols for handling paints and chemicals, use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Quality Control: Inspect your work to ensure it is free from defects and meets all quality standards.

What You Bring to the Table:

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience spraying primer in an aircraft, automotive, or industrial setting is required.
• A strong understanding of surface preparation techniques (sanding, masking, cleaning).
• Ability to work effectively on a Second Shift schedule.
• A high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills (Candidates with these skills will qualify for higher pay):

• Experience applying topcoats, clearcoats, and other finishes.
• Experience in a Part 145 repair station or a similar aviation environment.
• Formal training or certification in painting or refinishing.

Pay & Benefits:

This position is governed by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and includes a full suite of benefits.

• Total Hourly Compensation: $26.00 - $28.00 (Depending on Experience)

• This total compensation is a combination of your Base Wage + Health & Welfare (H&W) + a $5.00 per hour Shift Differential.
