Job Description:

Job Description

Machine operation:

Loading and unloading materials onto the waterjet machine.
Programming cutting paths using CNC software based on work orders or blueprints.
Adjusting cutting parameters like pressure, speed, and abrasive flow to optimize results.
Monitoring machine performance and making necessary adjustments during operation.
Starting and stopping the machine as needed.

Quality control:

Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure adherence to specifications.
Identifying and addressing any quality issues during the cutting process
Performing test cuts to verify machine settings before full production runs

Maintenance and troubleshooting:

Performing routine cleaning and lubrication of the waterjet machine
Inspecting cutting heads, nozzles, and abrasive delivery systems for wear and tear
Identifying and reporting any machine malfunctions to the supervisor
Troubleshooting minor issues related to cutting process or tooling

Safety procedures:

Adhering to all safety guidelines related to operating a high-pressure waterjet machine
Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Required skills and qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with CNC programming and operation
Knowledge of different materials and their cutting properties
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Basic computer skills
