JOB DESCRIPTION
TRAINING FACILITATOR
POSITION SUMMARY:
Following project plans and guidance from the TrainingManager, the Training Facilitator develops, delivers, and maintainshigh-quality training programs for employees at all levels.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging training content, including CBT modules using Articulate 360 and/or other e-learning tools
- Conduct instructor-led presentations and briefings for employees at all levels, including executive staff
- Facilitate hands-on training for safe and proper operation of heavy equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts)
- Assess training needs and tailor content to meet diverse audiences and skill levels
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts (SMEs) and department leaders to ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to maximize learning and retention
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback surveys, and observation
- Maintain training records and documentation in accordance with company, FAA, and EASA standards
- Support development and maintenance of onboarding and refresher training programs
- Promote a safety-focused culture through consistent, high-quality training delivery
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–5 years of experience in training, instructional design, or facilitation – preferably in an aviation environment but not a requirement
- Certification or formal training in instructional design, adult learning, or Train-the-Trainer program
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Articulate 360 (or other e-learning software)
- Ability to develop effective CBT/e-learning modules and blended learning solutions
- Strong presentation skills with comfort delivering to large groups and all organizational levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to adapt training approach for diverse learning styles
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE,LICENSES, ETC:
- Valid heavy equipment operator certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid heavy equipment Train-the-Trainer operator certification (or willingness to obtain with history of heavy equipment operation in a professional setting)
- Prior experience in an aviation environment is a plus
- Associate, Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s Degree
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
