Job Description:

SUMMARY: The Shelter Technician II will be responsible for using hand tools and related equipment for performing the day to day assembly and/or sub assembly work related to production. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Fabricate sub-assemblies from raw material. Install basic plumbing and electrical hardware and equipment. Create baseline drawings for new products. Red-line existing drawings to accommodate changes. Keep various records as required. Work with computerized equipment, as necessary. Perform operations that may require heavy lifting. Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards, and be quality conscious. Maintain good attendance record, be self motivated, with a willingness to learn. All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Must have mechanical aptitude to design and build product without drawings -Must know fastener characteristics and grip ranges -Must be able to perform basic math functions -Must be able to perform operations that may require heavy lifting -Must be safety, quality conscious and dependable PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
