The successful Guard I The primary duty is to observe and report security and emergency situations. Intervenes directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property or persons.
- Carries out detailed instructions and procedures primarily oriented to ensure that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered and reported to the appropriate authority.
- Serves at a fixed post, making rounds on foot or by motor vehicle, or escorting persons or property.
- May help visitors and customers by answering questions and giving directions.
- Ensures all aircraft are properly secured, to include; Both main wheels are chocked, Minimum 3-point tie down, Gust locks properly set, Intake plugs installed, Egress seat checkout for shutting throttles off, Canopy covers in place and tight.
- Reports presence of non-uniform personnel to Base Security.
- Reports unusual circumstances which are not covered within the scope of this instruction, to management and/or Base Security, utilizing phone list provided.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
- Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to work all assigned shifts & schedules.
- Ability to operate flight line vehicle.
- Good written communication and phone skills.
- Must know proper safety procedures concerning fuel leaks and other hazardous materials.
- Must have one year of security guard experience.
