Collins aerospace is looking to hire Process Technician - Zinc; Reporting to the Plating & Processing Supervisor, the Process Technician - Zinc; will be involved in the Zinc plating of aircraft components.
Work Shift: Afternoon Shift, Monday - Thursday ( 4:00 pm - 2:00 am)
What You Will Do
Zinc Nickel plating of aircraft components, including preparation of components, to customer specifications and development of work techniques
Part masking will be part of the regular duties of this position
Part fixturing, loading and unloading
Tank/chemistry maintenance and associated tooling
Act as a cross functional team member and support other plating applications as requested
Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)
Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required
Maybe required to cross train on other plating processes.
Can fully achieve the responsibilities of the position within a training time of 3 months.
Candidate will be expected to wear appropriate PPE
Qualifications You Must Have
High school diploma, with 1 – 3 years previous process chemistry background;
Experience in measuring equipment such as calipers and Elco meters
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Experience in using various hand tools.
The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
Qualifications You Must Have
Degree in Chemical Engineering.
Prior chrome plating experience would be considered an asset
Verbal and written communication skills (English)
Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employee.
Strong understanding of WHMIS

The salary range for this role is 59,548 CAD - 78,643 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
