The Associate Director reports directly to the Sr. Director NSMS Production and is responsible for executing production capacity expansion programs, supporting the TTP and Production teams in transitioning new Standard Missile variants to production, and actively managing strategic posture for production growth and affordability. This role will require an individual to maintain and continue to strengthen our customer relationships and create future growth opportunities through those relationships.
The Associate Director is a leader of leaders and is responsible for proposing and executing DoD production contracts, capacity expansion contracts, investment in capital projects, supplier capacity investments and affordability activities while supporting planning activities for future capabilities/production programs to meet expanded demand. The Associate Director partners with the NSMS Senior Leadership to set strategy, vision and direction for successful program execution focused on overall product affordability, product integrity, on-time deliveries to enable near, mid-, and long-term business growth.

What You Will Do:
- Ownership of related profit and loss, AOP and financial performance commitments
- Coordinating and aligning interactions, dependencies, and transactions between NSMS Production, Sustainment, Development, Production Assurance and other impacted production programs
- Develop and implement strategies to build the capacity and capability of NSMS production lines and industrial base to support upcoming demand increases (3x) and configuration updates
- Capture and execute capacity & affordability efforts
- Understands and represents customer needs to leadership
- Partner with program leaders to shape/capture future acquisitions
- Actively manage risk, opportunity, cost, quality, and schedule performance
- Ability to travel domestically as needed
What You Will Learn:

- SBU & SSBU organizational structure, responsibilities amongst the programs and the functional areas, and deliverables
Qualifications You Must Have:
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience
- Prior Program/Project management experience
- Experience with leading production and transition to production programs, and/or execution of complex development programs with parallel active production
- Prior experience with managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for large scale programs
- Prior experience with Earned Value Management systems (EVMS) or similar tools or programs
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Proven success creating and maintaining strong relationships with cross-program, cross-functional, and multiple customers
- Experience managing complex test equipment efforts with direct application to active production lines
- Experience working with Navy and other customers on government programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces
- Experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategies for franchise programs
- Demonstrated ability to work across business areas, manage tasks, requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines
- Ability to thrive in an innovative environment with an emphasis on strategic planning for future program operations
- Ensure customer performance feedback and actions/requests are responded to in a timely, comprehensive, and accurate manner
- Experience supporting RTX capital efforts
- Program Management certification level 4 or ability to achieve within 6 months

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
