Kamatics Corporation in Bloomfield, CT is looking for several interns in a variety of disciplines to join their team to experience an environment enriched with collaboration and learning. The internship will include a strong on-boarding program, provide opportunities for professional growth with challenging assignments, an opportunity to give back to the community with a volunteer day, and will encourage interns to participate in a collaborative project with their intern peers.

Individuals that are motivated, and dependable seeking to work in a fast-paced environment, will be an ideal fit for Kamatics. The internship is intended for the summer months and will last approximately 10 to 12 weeks, working 40 hours a week Monday through Friday. Work hours may be flexible.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform desktop and laptop imaging and software deployment with industry standard tools ((This will be the intern’s main priority)
2. Provide IT customer care including providing hardware and software support on client devices
3. Update and document call history and team documentation,
4. Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
5. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety and environmental incidents to supervisor.
6. Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
7. Perform other duties as assigned. Accomplish related results as needed.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or other related discipline

Experience:

• Entry level position. Related internships or co-ops are a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting up to 40 pounds
• Frequent walking and standing
• Occasional sitting
