Job Title: Instrumentation Fitter (Per Diem opportunity in Florida)Job Description
As an Instrumentation Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our advanced systems. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting planning documents, schematics, datasheets/manuals, drawings, blueprints, and engineering sketches, primarily focusing on Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
Responsibilities
- Adjust, repair or replace faulty components of ground hardware, test, and integration equipment.
- Fabricate and install parts and systems used in launch environments using hand tools, power tools, and test instruments.
- Work with various sizes of pipes and valves.
- Connect and verify pressure transducers, thermocouples, and other sensors.
- Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs.
- Collaborate with launch engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from launch activities.
- Perform maintenance tasks as required for vehicle integration, pad maintenance, site preventative maintenance, general facilities, and any other general maintenance work to maintain an operational launch site.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in tube bending, schematic, and blueprint interpretation.
- Experience with integration testing, fabrication, and use of hand tools.
- Knowledge of thermocouples, instrumentation, electrical systems, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with signal conditioning and Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- 3+ years of experience as a mechanic, technician, or construction worker.
- 3+ years of experience in tube bending, hand bending, and customizing pipes.
- Ability to use computers or iPads.
- Preferred backgrounds in oil & gas or pharmaceutical industries.
- 3+ years of experience using power tools in a professional capacity.
- 1+ years of experience with electronic system assembly and construction.
- Experience working at a rocket launch facility and supporting launch campaigns.
- Associate degree in instrumentation, control technology, electrical systems, or a related field.
- Experience in corrosive environments and mitigation techniques.
- System-level troubleshooting skills and knowledge in signal conditioning concepts.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience and knowledge of various valves, pressure regulators, and valve actuators.
- Experience with hydraulics, metal fabrication, and precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with pump installation, alignment, high-pressure systems, and cryogenics.
- Familiarity with common fittings such as MS, AN, NPT, and Swagelok.

Work Environment
You will work indoors in a climate-controlled, state-of-the-art facility. Shift options include Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, with hours from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm or 6:30 pm to 6:00 am.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Cocoa, Florida.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.00/hr.
