Job Description:
Responsibilities

This role delivers engaging, interactive proficiency-based technical training in the classroom, labs, flight line, live aircraft, simulators, and in blended learning formats.  They assure Line, Hangar, On-Call and Heavy Maintenance Technicians, support and contract personnel are fully trained, competent, and qualified to safely and efficiently perform their duties to meet regulatory requirements and operational performance goals to support the safe, efficient, reliable operation of the Spirit fleet.

  • Is a skilled, experienced aviation education professional who uses the latest adult-based learning techniques and training technologies to produce measurable performance improvements.
  • Works closely with Tech Ops Management, Developers, and internal / external Subject Matter Experts to rapidly develop and deliver new & improved courseware that increases Technician skills, mastery, safety and efficiency, increasing our fleet reliability and operational competitiveness.
  • Performs world-class training, qualification, testing, and documentation of aircraft maintenance, servicing, repair, inspection, troubleshooting and operation of Spirit equipment.
  • Conducts comprehensive initial, recurrent and on-the-job training using the latest training aids, tools and methods in accordance with the Company training program.
  • Ensures all Tech Ops Team Members who require training are current by facilitating delivery of  the training programs developed by the Training Department. Ensure successful development, delivery, and measurement of Training of Safety, Policies & Procedures, and technical content in all formats to qualify personnel in the required competencies.
  • DELIVERY: ensures all Tech Ops individuals who require training are current by facilitating delivery of  the training programs developed by the Training Department. Ensure successful development, delivery, and measurement of Training of Safety, Policies & Procedures, and technical content in all formats to qualify personnel in the required competencies.
  • CONTENT COMPLIANCE:  ensures that Training meets regulatory, safety, GMM, & MTM Program requirements through External & Internal audits that verify quality & effectiveness of delivered content. Identified deficiencies are immediately rectified.
  • RECORDS COMPLIANCE: ensures that electronic & hardcopy training records are accurate, complete, in compliance; training schedules met, content delivered when & where directed to meet demand &  needs of operations, fleets, and customer base.
  • WORKFORCE PROFICIENCY: ensures student learning knowledge, mastery, retention and compliance of competencies is improved: content is assessed, redesigned, transformed and continually improved into instructionally-sound, proficiency-based, measurably-effective interactive courseware effectively delivered by Instructors.
  • FLEET RELIABILITY:  ensures that Training needs assessments driven by Reliability, CASS, Engineering and customer feedback are translated into tactical courseware with clear priorities & timelines for instructor delivery. KPIs established to track & measure progress of Tech Ops initial, recurrent & special training delivery. Targeted content developed & delivered rapidly to resolve performance issues regarding task efficiency, proficiency, error reduction. Content also developed / delivered based on, monitoring daily ops & actively engaging feedback of Customers, OEM’s, and SME’s. Training Delivery effectiveness & efficiency continually leveraged & improved via implementation of A.C.T. MX Training Simulator Labs, LMS, E-learning, blended learning, hands-on labs, & rapid deployment/ delivery of tactical master-class content.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g. emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Education and Training 
  • Experience in maintenance and airline operations, within Airbus A320 family preferred. 
  • Domestic & International travel approximately 50 of time 
  • Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Microsoft Office Experience (required)
  • Adobe Acrobat Experience (preferred)
  • Snipping Tool / SnagIt Software (preferred)
  • Camtasia Studio (preferred)
