At our Kilkeel Facility, we manufacture aircraft interior seating for global customers. To support our existing business and enable future growth we are offering a 12-month Industrial Placement opportunity to join our Human Resources team. The role will be based on site at Kilkeel, Northern Ireland. 

 

What you will do:  

Working closely with an experienced HR team, you will support the delivery of key HR initiatives and contribute to the effective operation of the HR function. Responsibilities will include: 

  • Support HR Business Partners with a range of HR activities, including recruitment and selection, talent development, talent management, and general HR administrative duties 

  • Maintain and update departmental databases, systems, and employee records ensuring accuracy and compliance 

  • Coordinate employee induction and onboarding processes in collaboration with HR Business Partners 

  • Ensure all departmental records are managed in accordance with our policies and data protection requirements 

  • Lead and actively participate in project work as required 

  • Respond to employee queries and provide guidance and support to managers when requested 

  • Assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of HR systems, processes, and procedures

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of HR activities, providing valuable experience within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. 

Skills and Experience Required:  

This Industrial Placement opportunity is suited to you if you are passionate about a career in HR. We will delight in training and supporting you during your placement which means you need to be a willing learner and committed to achieving both business and personal results whilst working as part of a team.  

 

Essential Criteria: 

In addition to the above you should be studying towards a degree or integrated masters in HR or a Business-related discipline - with a significant HR component - and be available to complete a 12-month placement commencing in June/July 2026. 

 

You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have experience working within a team environment. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines. Given the nature of the role, you will also demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive employee information. 

Desirable Criteria:  

  • Substantial relevant work experience in a HR environment 

  • Experience with HR Information Systems, i.e. TMS, Workday
