Primary Objective of the Position:The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment by adhering and supporting the HR policies, procedures, and guidelines. The HR Generalist will support a wide range of HR functions, including but not limited to managing assigned stations, HR projects, and benefits administration. This role will be a key resource for human resources shared service delivery to provide exceptional service to our internal stakeholders.
Essential Position Functions:- Work closely with Human Resources Business Partner providing recruitment and onboarding support.
- Assist with employee onboarding and orientation: participate in onboarding meetings.
- Assist with the timely and accurate administration of new hires, pay, and personnel changes.
- Coordinate day-to-day processing of benefits programs, including enrollment of new employees, changes, and terminations.
- Perform audits of benefit plans to identify gaps and implement resolutions.
- Coordinate and support HR projects, such as planning, coordinating, communicating, and executing.
- Develop metrics and provide reporting and analysis as required (i.e., headcount, turnover, demographics; by consolidating data from different platforms into meaningful dashboards and presentations, provide analysis to support new initiatives and ongoing projects); develop action plans which addresses the gaps and areas of improvement.
- Support HR management with matters related to employee relations and grievances in accordance with relevant legislation, company polices, and best practices.
- Work closely with the HR team and other stakeholders to proactively recommend and prioritize deliverables.
- Assist with ongoing document management including filing and preparing for company audits.
- Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations.
- Adhere to company and legislated confidentiality and privacy policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:- Minimum 5 years of experience within HR functions.
- Post-secondary education in HR Management, preferably CHRP/CHRL certified.
- Ability to handle a large volume of work and competing priorities with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in using standard functions in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional judgment and discretion in managing highly sensitive and confidential information.
- A quick thinker who brings a positive and high-energy approach to getting things done.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills; attention to detail is critical part of this role.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Maintain efficient office procedures and a system for keeping track of multiple, competing priorities.
- Professional and friendly communications with potential candidates, co-workers, and clients.
- Demonstrated competency with verbal and written business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
