Job Summary:
The HR Business Partner III or IV works under supervisions to implement and oversee corporate policies and procedures across core HR functions, including workers compensation, employee relations and organizational development. This role is responsible for facilitating training initiatives, managing salary administration, driving performance management, and supporting career development programs, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the HR Business Partner III or IV plays a key role in administering workers compensation claims and processes, contributing to risk management and safety collaboration. Essential Functions:
Strategic HR Partnership:
o Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with short-and long-term business goals.
o Provide coaching and guidance to leadership on employee relations, performance management and workforce planning.
Employee Engagement -Philanthropy and Employee Relations:
o Partner in organizing volunteer opportunities and encourage employee participation in philanthropic events.
o Partner with leadership to ensure philanthropy programs reflect organizational values.
o Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace morale and productivity.
o Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and recommend solutions.
Talent and Organizational Development:
o Drive initiatives focused on leadership development, succession planning and skills enhancement. Work in partnership with learning and development departments.
o Partner with Talent Acquisition to address workforce needs, ensuring alignment with hiring and retention strategies.
Policy and Compliance:
o Ensure HR policies and procedures align with federal, state and local employment regulations.
o Provide guidance on company policies, ensuring consistent application and interpretation across departments.
Change Management and Organizational Design:
o Support organizational change initiatives, guiding leaders and employees through transitions.
o Develop and implement strategies to improve organizational design and effectiveness.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:
o Champion efforts by implementing/driving company initiatives programs.
o Partner with leadership to create equitable career advancement opportunities for all employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 (Level III) 8-10 (Level IV) years as a Human Resources Business Partner or relevant equivalent HR Generalist work experience
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of HR processes and practices as it relates to a high growth environment with emphasis in employee retention, employee relations, needs assessments, and recognition/rewards
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong consulting and partnership skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all organizational levels.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong understanding of California employment laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS and talent management systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range:
HRBP III - $108,000 - $134,000
HRBP IV - $122,000 - $150,000
Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
