Contract Position
$24.56/Hour
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, and repair tasks on Abrams Tanks (M1A1ED, M1A2SEP V2, M104, HAB) and other tracked or wheeled military vehicles.
- Assist Field Service Representatives in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Provide input to program planning, maintenance scheduling, and technical procedures.
- Maintain accountability of tools and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and operational standards.
- Travel to various military or field sites within the U.S. as needed.
- Perform duties involving climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), kneeling, stooping, and working in extreme weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of direct maintenance experience on Abrams Tanks.
- Technical Requirements:
- Familiarity with maintenance and modification of Abrams vehicles and other military tracked/wheeled systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow standard maintenance procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Licenses & Clearances:
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a tank driver’s license, if required.
- Must be able to gain access to U.S. military facilities (must be a U.S. person).
- Physical Requirements:
- Must meet anthropometric size requirements for entry into enclosed military vehicles.
- Ability to work at heights and perform physical tasks in extreme environmental conditions.
