Job Summary
We are seeking a Composite Technician I to manufacture and repair composite aircraft parts. The successful candidate will have basic knowledge of composite materials and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
  • Composite Part Manufacturing: Manufacture composite aircraft parts to meet manufacturing specifications, including lay-up, cutting, bagging, and trimming.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations.
  • Quality Control: Check all work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to inspection.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain and use logs and records, including MIR sheets, DMTs, and other documentation.
  • Safety and Organization: Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the companys FOD and 5S programs, and comply with all safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1 year of related composite experience.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to work with composite resins and materials, and read and interpret blueprints and precision measuring devices (e.g., 6" scale).
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
  • Shift Work: Ability to work any shift.
Performance Expectations
  • Quality Workmanship: Produce high-quality composite parts that meet manufacturing specifications.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all work is defect-free and meets quality standards.
  • Teamwork: Work effectively in a team-oriented environment to meet production goals.
  • Safety and Organization: Maintain a safe and organized work area, and comply with all safety regulations.

Uniform Policy
  • Uniform Requirements: Purchase uniforms from designated supplier (CINTAS).
  • Interim Attire: Wear navy-blue shirt/t-shirt and blue work pants/shorts (no denim) prior to receiving uniforms.
  • Suggested Items:
  • 3 T-Shirts
  • 3 Flat front pants
  • 2 Face masks (in case the mask mandate returns)
  • Safety Shoes: Steel-toed shoes required for job duties.
