* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* 2 years of prior experience in Production and/or Manufacturing.
* Experience in the Manufacturing of Aircraft Instruments or electronics is desired
* 2-3 years of soldering experience
* Possess excellent hand soldering skills with through-hole and surface mount components
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovative solution capabilities
* Assembly and inspection under a microscope
* Working knowledge of mechanics and electrical systems
* Knowledge of prototype, assembly drawings, and blueprint reading
* Ability to support assemblies of a complex and critical nature that may require an extensive knowledge of techniques, tools, materials, military standards, and ISO 9000
* Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills and abilities to facilitate effective teamwork with others
* Develops and encourages original, creative, and successful approaches to issues, continually improves processes, and takes smart risks
* Motivated individual, fast learner, and capable of working independently
* Possess aptitude and the physical abilities to learn to work on very small mechanical assemblies
* Good eyesight, including color vision
* Above-average level of mechanical aptitude
* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Preferred Skills
* IPC-610 certification preferred
* Past or present IPC certification is a plus
* Working knowledge of mechanics and electrical systems
* Previous OEM or EMS industry experience is highly desirable Job Duties & Functions
* Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables
* Work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws
* Make continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies
* Conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications
* Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions
* Perform assembly, soldering, inspection, packaging, process improvements, training, and related activities
* Perform SMT and/or PTH soldering of printed circuit boards
* Perform SMT and PTH rework and touch-up of PCB assemblies
* Complete component bond, component assembly, and hardware assembly activities
* Operate machinery utilized in the PCB area, such as the Wave solderer, CS-400, pinning machine, and solder fountain
* Perform duties of conformal coat processes
* Perform duties in module cleaning, potting, and testing
* Use bench top equipment, test equipment, hand tools, and computers
* Assemble small mechanical products, including springs, gears, and mechanical subassemblies
* Assemble and test electro and electro-mechanical products
* Participate in meetings to determine work priorities
* Install electronic components onto circuit boards utilizing basic hand tools, materials, and processes
* Perform soldering, wiring, routing, assembly, disassembly, touch-up, cleaning, and minor modifications to assemblies
* Follow manufacturing aids and assembly work instructions
* Perform self-inspection of product for defects prior to moving product to the next step
* Read bills of materials and follow manufacturing instructions
