The Opportunity
Reporting to the Site Manager, this position is responsible for leading a team of Antenna and Electronic Systems Specialists in the successful execution of the Maintenance and Support Services (M&SS) contract at the Geraldton site.
Leading a multi-disciplined team in delivering a range of management, technical and facilities support services, you will be making a meaningful contribution in supporting the capabilities of our National Security Community customer, the Australian Signals Directorate.
Responsibilities
- Plans and controls the delivery of maintenance and support services at the Geraldton site to accomplish business objectives, including achievement of key contract performance indicators, cost and schedule control, and risk and issue management.
- Manages a constructive customer relationship, providing a responsive direct interface with senior customer representatives to communicate work progress and priorities across all service areas, and keep the customer fully informed.
- Lead a customer focussed culture of continuous improvement and collaboration to drive productivity and cost-effective service delivery
- Lead and manage the team by personally demonstrating Boeing values and exemplary workplace behaviours.
- Manage team member performance, leave, training and development.
- Apply ‘hands-on trade or technical skills to supplement the team when required.
Selection criteria
- Formal trade and/or technical qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Well-developed leadership skills that are clearly demonstrated.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate with influence and build productive working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise work, allocate and direct resources, and make proactive decisions to ensure contract performance requirements are met.
- Sound knowledge of WHS and environmental management obligations and relevant management experience.
- Ability to meet ITAR nationality requirements
