Job Title: Station Manager
Job Description
The Station Manager leads day-to-day maintenance operations at a busy LAX station, overseeing a team of approximately 18–20 technicians. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality aircraft line maintenance while meeting performance, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction goals. The Station Manager serves as a hands-on leader with a valid A&P license, working closely with internal teams and customers to deliver reliable service and support across a growing fleet of commercial aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day line maintenance operations at the LAX station for a team of approximately 18–20 employees.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and FAA requirements.
- Maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and airworthiness for all serviced aircraft.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules to support on-time performance and minimize aircraft downtime.
- Monitor and manage station performance against operational, financial, and customer service targets.
- Lead by example as a hands-on A&P professional, providing technical guidance and support to the maintenance team.
- Motivate, coach, and develop team members to drive high performance and engagement.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the station.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airline customers, lessors, and other key stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to resolve operational issues and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Ensure accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance with all maintenance and regulatory standards.
- Support training and development initiatives, including cross-training on multiple aircraft types.
- Collaborate on budget planning and cost control to help meet station financial objectives.
- Address and resolve operational challenges quickly to maintain service reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all team members meet compliance requirements, including FAA drug and background screening.
Essential Skills
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a line maintenance leadership role.
- Solid technical understanding of commercial aircraft maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with line maintenance operations.
- Proven ability to motivate, lead, and develop diverse teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Familiarity working with commercial airlines and fractional operators.
- Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug screening.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with B767 aircraft line or heavy maintenance.
- Exposure to maintaining A319, A320, A321, B737, B777, and E190 aircraft or interest in training on these types.
- Experience working in a performance-driven, P&L-focused environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under time pressure.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, operationally critical environment.
- Willingness to support weekend operations as needed is a plus.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based at LAX, primarily on a morning shift schedule from Monday through Friday, with openness to weekend coverage considered a plus. Work takes place in and around active airport ramp and hangar areas, with frequent outdoor work in a non-climate-controlled environment. The role involves working in varying weather conditions, exposure to noise and typical airport operations, and hands-on interaction with commercial aircraft, tools, and ground support equipment. Appropriate safety gear and attire are required to comply with aviation and ramp safety standards.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
