About the RoleWe’re growing very fast and are on track to onboard many exciting new customers throughout 2025 and beyond, along with adding more software & mobile engineers, data engineers, QA’s and product focused people to our existing technical team of around 25.The Sprint Manager serves as the pivotal connection between technical execution and strategic delivery within our organisation. This role cultivates team excellence by establishing effective workflow processes while nurturing a collaborative environment where innovation flourishes. Youll balance analytical oversight of metrics with interpersonal guidance, ensuring the team evolves into a cohesive unit that consistently exceeds expectations.
Responsibilities:

Run efficient daily stand-ups to identify blockers and encourage team collaboration
Analyse sprint performance to improve future delivery
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Manage work item estimation to improve scheduling and predictability
Track team metrics for capacity planning
Monitor time tracking in 7Pace, comparing estimates vs. actuals and reporting R&D/maintenance splits to finance
Foster team cohesion and clear communication
Facilitate retrospectives and ensure completion of action items
Maintain quality deliverables and provide revised timelines when needed
Help team adapt to changing priorities
Communicate delivery dates to stakeholders
Conduct performance reviews for team members
Support recruitment planning and interviewing

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
Essential:

Hold a Scrum Master Certification
Possess a Software Engineering background, preferably the C/.NET sphere
Experience leading the delivery of engineering teams of more than 15 people
Experience of fast paced, customer led delivery environment
Experience using a delivery management tools such as Azure DevOps or the Atlassian toolset.
Able to demonstrate clear understanding of capacity management and the common challenges encountered in planning & estimating
Understanding the psychology of effective and high performing teams
Able to demonstrate effective line management (direct reporting)
Excellent communication, high emotional intelligence and can help the team communicate and collaborate
Pragmatic, understanding that often the reality differs from the theoretical
Willing to take ownership and accountability of the engineering process
Ability to demonstrate effective and practical change management approaches

Desirable:

Have an interest or direct experience of the aviation/transport industry

Personal characteristics:

Provide a calm, diplomatic, and technically sound voice in areas such as development (mobile and azure web app), Quality Assurance, DevOps
Excellent communication, high emotional intelligence and can help the team communicate and collaborate
Demonstrate understanding of how to apply a proactive, positive approach to managing both a team and individuals within the team
Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
Excellent written communication skills (across both technical and non-technical scenarios)
Strong relationship building skills, for stakeholders
