Raytheon Advanced Products and Solutions in Goleta, California is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff – Semiconductor for the Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) Focal Plane Operations Organization.
You will drive technical performance on key strategic programs, requiring strong collaboration and communication within Operations and Engineering. The RVS manufacturing center produces high-performing Focal Plane Arrays and Integrated Dewar Assemblies in the infrared industry.
As a key member of the Technical Staff, you will lead New Product Introduction for critical strategic and franchise programs, execute high-impact Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA), and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve yields or enhance product performance. You will work with development and process engineering to identify technology gaps, evaluate, and implement solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to RVS’ Technology and Manufacturing Roadmaps. This role demands expertise in semiconductor processing, device physics, data analytics, organizational skills, leadership, and communication.
What You Will Do
- Present to high-level customers and executives the progress of strategic programs, yield task forces, and root cause investigations.
- Identify yield-limiting defect sources, define and execute a defect reduction roadmap.
- Planning, leading, and executing RCCA efforts
- leading teams through yield improvement and structured problem-solving in semiconductor manufacturing
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong technical project/program management experience, including budget ownership for programs, IRADs, or NRE projects.
- Experience in infrared sensor development and manufacturing.
- Ability to mentor cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinking in transitioning programs from development to production with predictable yields.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing processes in high mix precision electromechanical/semiconductor products in a regulated environment.
- Strong background in data analytics and statistics, guiding data acquisition and application strategies.
- Excellent communication skills at the senior executive level, with strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- A proactive change agent with a strong sense of urgency.

The salary range for this role is 162,000 USD - 326,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
