Job PurposeThe Security Supervior at station shall be responsible for all security matters/issues and work as the nodal point of contact at station for the Airport Services Manager and Security Controller ? India / Emirates Group Security Head Quarters on all security operational and administrative matters. The position of Security Supervisor is a mandatory regulatory requirement from the Appropriate Authority on Security namely Bureau of Civil Aviation Security in India. The requirement of a Security Supervisor is regulatory requirement stated in the Aviation Security Order 5 of 2009 and Section 4.3.8(c) of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme of India.
Job Outline:
- Manage/Supervise the implementation of current Aviation Security policies and procedures to meet Emirates and local requirements. (India). Liaising, dealing and coordinating with DGCA, BCAS, Airport Operators, AOC, Immigration, Customs , Contracted Security agency at station and other relevant authorities at station on security matters as directed by Security Controller India & EGS - HDQ.
- Dissemination of security standards, regulations, measures and procedures to various departments at station as directed by Security Controller ? India & EGS HDQ. Ensure implementation of security measures, procedures, guidelines, standards, policies as prescribed in the Emirates Airlines Security Programme- India Supplement and that of GCAA.
- To report immediately, with complete and all details, to Security Controller ? India & EGS HDQ regarding any/all unlawful or potentially unlawful interference against/towards the aircraft, operations, passengers, staff, station and any other issue/matter in the benefit of the company. Also to monitor and report nefarious/malafide activities involving staff, staff of GHA and cargo agents/shippers.
- To investigate cases and to provide findings with detailed report, as and when required by Security Controller ? India & EGS HDQ. To carry out directions, instructions, trainings and duties as and when required/advised by Security Controller ? India & EGS HDQ.
- Ensure that all cargo is screened by security service providers and take record of all general/ express cargo, valuable cargo/shipments. To monitor, control and report any nefarious activities or untoward incident committed or being committed at cargo terminal and other areas of the airport.
- To maintain vigil and ensure complete safety and security of aircraft, cargo at airport. To Supervise and conduct surveillance of all areas (Check-in counters / BMA / BBA / Aircraft/ Boarding gate / Catering / Cargo screening / holding area) especially during the flight, from security point of view.
- Maintain effective coordination and monitoring of all security services provided by contracted security agencies at station ensruring deployment and billing is done as per agreed contracts.
- Prepare Daily flight reports / Incident reports / Investigation Reports / Roster / Leave Records / Monthly Station Reports / Security files with required data .
- Ensure Implementation of Security Quality Control Programme and carry out Audits/ Test / Inspections / Survey as and when guided by Security Controller ? India & EGS HDQ. Represent Emirates Group Security for all security audits carried out by BCAS / any other external agencies at station.
- To Ensure:
-Liaise and coordinate with ASM to resolve all Security Issues, matters, and services and provide feedback / corrective actions. (ex: Analyze all CASA complaints received at station indicating possibility of malafide activities)
-Represent Emirates Group Security in all AVSEC Committees / Meetings (APSC / AOC (if required) / BTRC / BCAS/ Facilitation ? Customs & Immigration)
-Assist the Fraud Prevention Unit / Investigations Unit / Group Security ? Law Enforcement Request team/ Training Unit / Baggage Pilferage Investigations Team / Document Check Team - DXB by promptly updating with ALERTS/ INFORMATION CIRCULARS and Current trends at station.
-Report immediately all events and incidents affecting/relating to station/city, airports, and flight operations from security perspective.
-To successfully complete all trainings mandatorily required by the local station/BCAS and by EGS-HDQ.
-Advice and forward all BCAS Circulars / AVSEC Orders / Latest changes in security regimes at station and to ensure to take prior approval from Security Controller ? India & EGS HDQ before implementing BCAS directions.
-Any other instructions issued by Security Controller ? India / EGS HDQ from time to time.

Knowledge/ Skills:
-In-depth knowledge of aviation security e.g. Annex ? 17 of ICAO, IATA?s security regulations, extra ordinary security procedures and measures in case of hijacks, accidents and bomb threats. Knowledge of the functioning of various departments working airside as well as landside.
-Proven ability to work independently and strong written and spoken communication skills. Would be required to maintain close contacts with various departments, air carriers, aviation organisations/associations and government functionaries considering the sensitive nature of the job. Should be level headed, maintain a flexible approach and have rational thinking as recommendations provided in case of threat to aircraft could have grave consequences.

Qualification
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree with a minimum of 5 years aviation industry exposure of which a minimum of three years should have been at a supervisory level in aviation or operational security.
Hold a valid Aviation Security Course (BCAS, BASIC AVSEC) certificate issued by appropriate authority on security, India.
Must have the right to live and work in India
