Regulatory Junior Manager
Based in Budapest
Purpose of the role
Support the management of Wizz Air Group’s regulatory affairs and traffic rights portfolio. Contribute to the company’s expansion into new, regulation-sensitive spanets by assisting in securing necessary operating permissions and maintaining compliance with aviation authorities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating efforts to obtain spanet access in new countries and jurisdictions under the guidance of senior team members
- Support the administration and tracking of the Group’s traffic rights, including applications for designations, extra-bilateral rights, and other regulatory approvals
- Manage the Foreign Airline Registration process for entering new countries
- Secure seasonal route permits and conduct revisions as needed
- Participate in initiatives to improve and streamline traffic rights processes, including automation and documentation enhancements
- Collaborate with Commercial teams to align regulatory activities with Wizz Air’s strategic directions
- Support the development and maintenance of professional relationships with aviation regulators and Civil Aviation Authorities across the network
Experience
1-3+ years overall working experience preferably in Commercial or Operational areas of an airline
Hard skills
Good understanding of aviation regulatory landscape and traffic rights
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Language
Fluent spoken and written English
