Quality Manager
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Senior leader responsible for full compliance, product quality and audit of WG Brighton. Assure Wyman-Gordons Quality systems and procedures satisfy government, certification and customer requirements, and assure compliance of product shipped to contractual requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Main point of contact with customers, regulatory, and government agencies on all quality related issues, and audits
- Maintain and update the Quality Manual
- Control and approve internal procedures
- Auditing of Wyman-Gordon for compliance
- Responsible for the audit and approval of subcontractors
- Manage personnel responsible for quality planning, release of product and raw material, and the final certification of product.
- Function as the Management Representative as required by ISO-9001, AS9100
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with NADCAP, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Manage personnel performing source inspection, audit, and release of product from subcontract suppliers
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS minimum, MS or 5-10 years of experience in quality related functions preferred
- Training as ISO9001/AS9100 Lead Auditor
- Proven experience in statistical analysis
- Manufacturing and/or aerospace experience highly preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of Quality based computer systems
- Good PC skills with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong familiarity with compliance (AS9100, NADCAP)
