Project Manager
47 - 63.40 per hour
Morson are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to support the development of critical control systems for our defence client in Barrow-in-Furness. You will be responsible for the execution of PM deliverables of in alignment with programme goals by facilitating clear communication between the project team, stakeholders and leadership. With a focus on analysis and co-ordination you will be planning, reporting, managing risk and deploying dependencies on complex development projects.
The role is being offered on an initial 12 month contract, with the possibility of an extension or permanent conversion. There is a minimum expectation of 2 days a week onsite every 2 weeks in Barrow-in-Furness. We can offer a rate of 47 per hour PAYE or 63.40 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities
- Provide regular updates on work stream progress, milestones, opportunities and potential issues.
- Implementing Project Control methodologies.
- Engaging with stakeholders such as finance, engineering, supply chain, customers, quality, assurance and safety teams.
- Monitor, track and report on progress and performance, in relation to budget.
- Provide guidance on Project Management issues and propose solutions using established APM principles.
- Support the creation of all PM deliverables (CAM packs, technical reviews, DSUM&8217;s and others as required)
- Identify, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
Requirements
- Project management experience with a focus on analysis and co-ordination.
- Line management experience.
- Experience of planning, reporting, managing risk and deploying dependencies.
- Communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with Jira or Confluence.
- Project planning experience that includes scope, timeline, budget and resource allocation.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
