About the role
You will be responsible to manage and successfully deliver assigned IT projects and solutions in compliance with the project standards and processes of the QR IT, to meet defined business requirements within agreed timescales and cost. Lead the Projects throughout the project phases from initiation to closure, technical delivery, support and enhancement of the complete solution. This includes managing application support within assigned LOBs. Contribute to Business – IT strategy and IT budgeting of the assigned line of business.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of assigned IT projects/IT solutions coordinating with business users, other departments of the QR and suppliers. This includes solutions built in-house, acquired packages and IT application support.
- Provide fair and accurate feedback on the performance of resources assigned to projects and application support.
- Plan to future proof application design/ technology and for increased usage to support the expansion.
- Provide technical leadership and advise key architectural decisions concerning the platform and the supporting technologies.
- Implement technical architectures that are industry standard and scalable.
- Prepare project plans and resource allocation for projects.
- For each project ensure:
- Project plans are realistic, maintained and properly resourced.
- Delivery is as per agreed quality, within baseline schedule and budgeted cost.
- Projects are carried out through the defined phases fully complying with QR IT processes and procedures.
- Solutions meet agreed requirements and business expectations, are maintainable and meet documented and agreed criteria. This requires that all solutions are adequately tested (functional, non-functional, performance and integration tested) before User Acceptance Testing).
- Risks are assessed and mitigation/management strategies are designed.
- Timely and accurate project information and reporting are provided to IT management and business.
- Ensure that assigned applications are adequately supported. Manage the application support teams / suppliers:
- Analyze system faults, assess severity levels, and provide solutions.
- Link similar problems by users or systems to enable detailed reporting and trend analysis.
- Ensure in service reviews for external suppliers.
- Perform business analysis activities to analyze user requirements and define solutions meeting those requirements and document system specifications.
- Contribute Business – IT strategy and IT budgeting of assigned business units.
- Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree or Honors in Engineering / Computer Science / Mathematics / Sciences or Equivalent with 8+ Years of experience with minimum 5-6 years of experience as a Project manager / Scrum Master or in similar role.
- Experience in Project Management, Software development and maintenance, 3rd party application implementation, vendor management & support.
- Experience in area(s) of Systems Development/Design and Implementation Management, Project Management tools, UI/UX concepts, Application support, Business analysis and Team Management are required.
- Scrum Certified (CSM or PSM), Project Management Certifications (PMP / Prince2) are preferred.
- Excellent knowledge, understanding and proven track record on delivering complex business and technology transformations as a PM / Scrum Master.
- Knowledge of end-to-end software development life cycle, starting from requirements phase until delivery and rollout preferably on Azure DevOps using SCRUM methodology.
- Domain knowledge of Corporate functions such as HR, Finance, Facilities/Transport, Procurement would be added advantage.
