As a Project Leader within the Heli Business Unit, you will assist in the management of key business and operational projects.  This is an individual contributor role. While this role does not involve direct people management, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating projects from start to finish, while collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional project teams. What You’ll do:

• Assist in the planning, development, administration and execution of Business Unit strategic projects. 
• Act in a lead capacity on various projects and work packages, as assigned. 
• Develop project charters, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Provide day-to-day project support, including RAIL management, task follow-ups, and project updates.
• Actively support project teams in troubleshooting, task management and task completion. 
• Facilitate and lead project meetings, workshops, as well as operations excellence and continuous improvement activities.

Basic Qualifications

• 1 or more years of project coordination or leadership experience in a cross-functional setting.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet or equivalent) demonstrated through 1 or more years of experience.
• Thorough knowledge of analytical tools and problem-solving methodology, demonstrated through 1 or more years of experience.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or equivalent experience is an asset
• PMP certification or formal project management training is an asset
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with StandardAero operating system is an asset
• Experience in aerospace, MRO, or manufacturing
• Ability to build strong working relationships across teams and functions.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement knowledge

Background Information

The typical minimum level of education to perform this job competently is equivalent to completion of a university (bachelor) program in a specialized field of study and work.  The work requires a sound understanding of the underlying theoretical principles and concepts associated with the subject area and an understanding of the relation of these to the responsibilities of the job.  This specialized training is often recognized by a degree and/or professional designation.

Directly/indirectly related work experience representing continuous learning and required for someone to perform this job competently is three to six years.
