Position Summary
Follow up the production lines ensuring that orders are fulfilled on their promised dates. He is a facilitator of the productive areas and must maintain safety, engagement, HPT, and productivity indicators according to the standards indicated in his responsibilities. Follow up on the coordination of tasks for the entire shift.
Responsibilities
- Assurance of Lean Must Do’s, Shipping Lines, Safety 360 and 24/7 strategies.
- Responsible for procedures and standard works related to the Quality system, compliance with waste disposal, CTPAT and Clients.
- Monitoring and implementation of internal savings projects and / or in coordination with the Engineering Department.
- Coordination of HPT (High Performance) teams, such as coaching in problem solving, training new members, etc.
- Updating and sending report of shipped orders of assigned Value Streams.
- Involvement in decision-making on the Production floor of the assigned shift.
- Involvement in the area layer audits (5Ss, security and FOD program).
- Actively participate in continuous improvement events and Value Stream Mapping activities.
- Responsible for monitoring the Shipping Lines strategies of the Value Streams of the assigned shift (5 days in advance in production) and corrective actions.
- Follow up on the backlog weekly and coordinate Green Sheet definition monthly with involved partners.
- Serve as the second level for associates in conflict resolution, follow-up on discipline issues, certification and assessment of skills through the matrix, problem solving, leave, vacations, attendance, overtime management, among others; provide direction and support.
- Escalate any issues to management if necessary.
- Keep the workplace clean and safe according to 5s standards to level 4 or 5.
- Lead efforts to empower and generate a sense of belonging in associates within the work cell through high performance teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in morning meetings with information from your area (Run the Business).
- Audit hour by hour format in all areas and assure the result is accomplished.
- Review the production workers’ payroll.
- Keep the People Soft system updated with the reprimands of the production staff.
- TPM autonomous maintenance follow-up.
- Always keep the work shifts of the workers updated in PeopleSoft
- Availability of rotation and support on weekends when required. Audit hour by hour format in all areas.
- Lean follow-up, actively participate and lead the plants LEAN MUST DO strategy (HPT, TIB, VSM and Layers Audit).
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the automotive industry (highly desirable)
- Intermediate English (conversational).
