The Network Assurance Manager (NAM) is concerned with the decisions, actions, and responsibilities in ensuring his/her team is performing all assigned tasks. Responsibilities include understanding customer needs, managing the processes, and continual improvement to ensure our FAA customers and teams are receiving the correct experiences.  This position will be people-focused and take a results-focused approach to the FAA, our internal customers, and their team members.

This position represents L3Harris to the FAA and the FAA to L3Harris. They review procedures, identify problems, and propose resolutions.  A willingness to be available for critical service-related problems that require immediate escalation 24x7 is required. Experience in managing large telecommunications implementation projects is strongly desired.   

Essential Functions:

  • Provide management and direction to the field teams and advise the management team.
  • Responsible for staffing in the Service Area.
  • Responsible for all operational issues within the service area. Sets the service area priorities for their team.
  • Work with the WSA NAMs, Air Space Leads (ASL’s) to complete tasks or resolve issues when needed. Attend Chronic internal and FAA service area calls.
  • Investigate formal complaints, formulate action plans, and initiate the plans.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between the FTI Operation Teams and Implementation Teams for their service area.
  • Ensure the team understands and follows the process, tools, training, and driving strategic engineering initiatives.
  • Responsible for the Field Services Group (FSG) personnel in their service area. This can include addressing concerns, hiring, ensuring compliance training is completed, etc.
  • Host Bi-Weekly Service Area Team Meetings. Provide a flow-down and important information to the team.
  • Ability to travel to FAA Facilities and participate in FAA Service Improvement Meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 12 years of related telecommunications management experience; OR a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; OR a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience working with Federal Government contracts (FAA is an added plus).
  • 9+ years of technical knowledge regarding the types of networks (circuit types) L3Harris-FTI is putting in place.
  • 10+ years of experience in program and/or project management skills.
  • 10+ years of experience in Telecommunications Provisioning, Maintenance, and Customer Service.
  • 10+ years of experience working with Federal Government contracts, particularly FAA. Program and/or project management skills.
  • Experience with an Inter-exchange Carrier such as AT&T, Lumen, etc., and/or experience working with a Local Exchange Carrier such as AT&T Local, Frontier, Verizon, etc.
  • Experience managing and leading a field force of technicians for operations, deployment, and maintenance/customer service. 
  • Strong customer service background (customer service with the FAA is an added plus). 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are also required. Values and respects employees and has excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to have adaptive planning, be a self-organizer, and be able to work on short delivery times.
  • Be flexible and aim for continuous improvements in quality, focus on the team, and our customer

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $107,500 - $199.500 annually. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $123,500-$229,500 annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
