Job Description:

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Maintenance Information Systems

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate, up to date record of total time, time since last inspection and overhaul data on each aircraft;
  • Identify & initiate corrections to any aircraft record discrepancies; review with Manager QA when required;
  • Coordinate all computer applications relating to maintenance records inclusive of timely uploading of operators flight hours and cycles to Maintenance Program software, via Flight Operations software;
  • Be responsible for the administration of Annual Airworthiness Information Report;
  • Ensure control and submission of the bi-monthly time sheets and individual time reports for all direct reports;
  • Support the Engineering Department, with respect to responsibility for aircraft and ground radio license renewal applications with Industry Canada;
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews of Maintenance Program software entries to ensure ongoing quality compliance;
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory technical records requirements as well as internal policies and procedures;
  • Routinely analyze methods and procedures within the section with the objective of improving efficiency and productivity;
  • Responsible for the digital control of all
  • Assume other duties, as required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

  • Two (2) years post secondary education;
  • Four (4) years previous experience;
  • Excellent organizational and leadership;
  • Previous supervisory experience;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving;
  • Possesses a solid understanding of the business and customer environment;
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and E-mail;
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced, team-oriented environment while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and effective time management;
  • Ability to communicate in Inuktitut or other Indigenous language considered an asset;
  • Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
