How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Manager, Employee Inspection leads the planning, implementation, and management of Delta’s Employee Physical Inspection program.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead the daily operations of Delta’s 24/7/365 Employee Physical Inspection program consisting of nearly 100 domestic stations, four contract companies, and approximately 1,000 contract inspection personnel.Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other security risk mitigation policies.Lead all strategies, tactics, and innovation for Employee Physical Inspection.Drive the development and delivery of process and performance improvements.Manage multiple third-party vendors across the domestic system and provide guidance and direction on behalf of Corporate Security as deem necessary.Develop and drive relationships with airport authorities, TSA, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in order to promote Delta security objectives and lead proactive security risk mitigation.Maintain a current understanding of airport operations, threat landscapes, and aviation related security issues.Collaborate closely with TSA HQ and field on employee inspection and other riskmitigation efforts.Coordinate on employee inspection incident investigations.Respond immediately to security issues, even when outside of normal business hours.Develop and implement a standardized audit program that evaluates all aspects of the Employee Physical Inspection program and make modifications as needed for continuous improvement.Conduct security risk assessments and communicate findings in a timely manner.Oversee equipment purchases, maintenance, certifications, and warranties to ensure compliance.Interface with various operating divisions and stations surrounding security riskmitigation, compliance, and other program elements.Compile capital funding and annual expense estimates.Brief leadership on security incidents and emerging threats.Collaborate with team members on special projects as directed.Maintain rigid confidentiality surrounding tools/techniques, investigations, and other program elements.Practice safety and security conscious behaviors in all operational processes andprocedures.Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Bachelors degree or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in aviation security,physical inspection, or similar background.Prior aviation industry experience is required.Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage priorities with minimal supervision.Strong technical, analytical, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skillswith a natural curiosity and attention to detail.Exceptional ability to communicate professionally through oral and written means to alllevels of leadership.Experience working in fast paced, dynamic conditions while exceling under pressure incritical situations and meeting strict deadlines.Flexible and adaptable to a fluid and challenging environment.High degree of self-discipline, initiative, and drive, and function well under budgetary,operational, and time constraints.Thorough understanding of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Outlook).Frequent domestic travel is required, international travel may be required.Performing satisfactorily in current position.Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
