Job Description
The Strategy Manager supports the development and execution of AirAsia’s aviation growth and optimisation, with a strong focus on spanet intelligence, new opportunities, and enterprise-wide value creation. The role operates at the intersection of Commercial, Finance, Operations and Global Policy & Government Relations to translate insights into structured initiatives, decision frameworks, and strategies. This role reports to the Group Chief Strategy Officer.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
- Identify, assess, and support new growth opportunities across spanets, routes, partnerships, and customer segments
- Conduct analysis and build intelligence reports on competitor moves, spanet trends, and ecosystem dynamics
- Translate intelligence signals into clear business implications, risks, and recommended actions
- Collaborate and drive cross-functional strategic initiatives, translating insights into actions that improve revenue growth, cost efficiency, and overall profitability.
- Support alignment of departmental goals, processes, and resources with overall strategy to drive execution and measurable performance outcomes.
WHO YOU ARE:
At least 5 years of experience in strategy, business development, startups, or fast-growth environments
Highly self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable owning work end-to-end
Agile thinker with strong business acumen, problem-solving and structuring skills
Strong communication skills; able to distil complex ideas simply and manage stakeholders
Well versed with financial models, BI tools, wireframes, spreadsheets, and presentations
