Job Title: Maintenance Control Supervisor

Reports To: Manager of Maintenance Control
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide supervision and technical assistance to guide and advise maintenance controllers and personnel during troubleshooting and maintenance. Ensure that maintenance activities comply with Kalitta Air General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and FAA rules and regulations.
- Coordinate/communicate with the Supervisor on Duty/Operations Control Center with any Maintenance Action Plans created for time-limited maintenance tasks, DMI/COI, Advisory Notices, or other applicable task requirements. This function should happen daily and ongoing during each shift.
- Review the most current open DMI report during the duty day for quality control purposes and coordinate any required changes with other departments within the OCC.
- Provide a detailed turnover to the oncoming Maintenance Control Supervisor to ensure cohesion between shifts.
- Provide reports and/or notices to appropriate parties per Kalitta Air GMM, e.g., mechanical difficulties, delays, DMI status, SDR, MISR, LMP status, etc.
- Coordinate with AOG Purchaser and Stores Personnel to order and ship parts and materials to maintenance stations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Control Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have and valid A&P License, experience working Heavy Transport Aircraft, preferably 747-200 and 400 Aircraft, be able to use and understand wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, troubleshooting manuals, and parts manuals, have good computer skills and verbal communication skills as well. Additionally, maintenance Control experience is required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable. Must have a good working knowledge of world geography and flight operations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write reports and correspondence, Ability to give verbal and written directions.
