Key responsibilities may include:Safety: Ensuring all warehouse and inventory activities comply with safety regulations and standards to maintain a safe working environment.Quality: Implementing and maintaining quality control processes to ensure inventory accuracy and the integrity of stored materials.Delivery: Managing the timely receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements.Cost: Monitoring and controlling costs associated with warehouse operations and inventory management to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.Additional duties may involve:*Leading and training warehouse staff.*Developing and implementing inventory management strategies.*Utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology to improve operations.*Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless production flow.*Conducting regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in warehouse and inventory management within a manufacturing setting.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Direct warehouse operations to receive, classify, and stock incoming goods. This includes ERP updating, managing stocking strategy, completing work order picks in a timely manner, and processing dispositioned material.
- Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Work in a cross-functional team to support production operations, identify issues, and implement corrective action/sustainable solutions.
- Participate in and lead process improvement projects, value stream mapping events, and Kaizen events/lean projects.
- Use judgment and experience to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
- Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
- Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in a manufacturing role)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or materials
