About the role:
Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations team as a Lead Flight Operations Support Officer to be based in Doha, Qatar.
As a Lead Flight Operations Support Officer, you will be responsible for managing the implementation of in-house support processes in all areas under SVP Flight Operations. In this role, you will be a key interface with Pilot Management offices, providing support to the teams and all relevant functions within Flight Operations in communicating administration and operational support including the development strategies, actions, results and requirements.
Specific responsibilities for the role include:
- Accountable to collaborate with Fleet Management office by assisting in conducting all aspects of daily Flight Operations in administration and operational efficiently. In collaboration with the Fleet and Training support team, deliver efficient and effective daily support to Deck Crew & Fleet Management considering all aspects of operations including safety and punctuality.
- Manage the Fleet office budget by tracking expenses and processing invoices to maintain fiscal responsibility. In addition, following up with each direct report of the SVP Flight Operations for their timely submission and proper utilization of allocated funds.
- Interface Operational and Flight Operations Management in deploying new ways of projects, identifying risks and opportunities-resolving, agreeing on contingency plans escalating through agreed channels.
- In liaison with the line manager, monitor key KPIs of the administration support teams against set targets or expectations. This being coordinated with in-house training programmes to enhance re-planning actions where required.
- In collaboration with Fleet Management lead, drive initiatives and business-related projects to promote engagement and overall business strategy across assigned business areas under SVP Flight Operations.
- Involve in process improvement for Deck Crew or ground staff by providing business case and evidence of value realization in relation to enhance daily operational activities.
- Responsible for gathering content for the monthly newsletter of the SVP Flight Operations, including topic collection, proof reading, editing, design, and publication ensuring timely adherence to objectives and deadlines.
- Organize events, conferences, and team-building activities for the department and coordinating all logistical aspects effectively ensuring all activities are aligned with the departmental objectives.
- Coordinate with VIPs or their representatives when assigned by the GCEO office for SVP Flight Operations to represent the GCEO on his behalf at national and international events and conferences.
- Offer additional ad hoc support as required by the SVP Flight Operations and his direct reports, including administrative tasks and project assistance by monitoring and reporting on project progress and initiatives, to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications
About you
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Relevant College or University qualifications with minimum of 5 years job-related experience.
- Demonstrable experience of working with Executive Management.
- Good managerial and administrative skills.
- Evidence of program coordination for project multi –tasking including management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships at all levels.
- Computer literate Word/Excel/PowerPoint /Microsoft Visio.
- Ability to analyze situations and provide effective solutions, suggest and implement methods to prevent repetitions.
- Demonstrable ability to manage relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrable effective business-like communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High level of interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and promote positive team working environment.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
