PURPOSEWe are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Information & Data Governance Manager to join SITA’s Global Privacy & AI Office. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of professional curiosity and an interest achieving a pragmatic balance between new technologies and the application of internal controls, regulations and best practice as part of a dynamic data compliance international team.
Reporting the SITA Chief Privacy, AI and Data Responsibility Officer the Information & Data Governance Manager will play a key role in influencing and monitoring new and emerging technologies with a strong current focus on responsible AI innovation across SITA, ensuring ethical standards, accountability and transparency requirements are embedded and aligned with applicable laws, regulations and best practice.
As part of the Second Line of Defence, this role will interface with corporate and commercial stakeholders to design and monitor applicable controls, educate, track risks and provide KPIs for management reporting. In addition to keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies, the Information & Data Governance Manager will proactively horizon scan for new AI laws and regulations and identify the actions necessary for future state AI compliance
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve relevant frameworks and reporting processes;
- Represent the Global Privacy & AI Office to drive pragmatic AI risk identification and mitigation across the SITA product life cycle;
- Support vendor AI due diligence and help maintain the inventory of vendor AI products and solutions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders e.g. Legal, IT and Security to ensure the safe adoption of new and emerging technologies across the organisation as part of the wider unified management of data risk;
- Execute technology monitoring reviews, documenting evidence and ensuring that there are robust audit trails;
- Proactively monitor and track risk mitigations to closure
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with regulators and industry bodies including use of regulatory sandboxes for evolving technologies
- Develop, evolve and deliver AI literacy, education and awareness;
- Provide timely reporting of relevant AI risks and KPIs whilst proactively identifying and facilitating mitigations to reduce known risks;
- Horizon scan for applicable developments, new country data laws or regulatory guidance and provide analysis and recommendations for action;
- Support relevant mergers and acquisition activities;
- Represent SITA externally at professional events, conferences, client facing engagements, and industry forums; and
- At the direction of the SITA Chief Privacy Officer act as the front door for regulatory/ customer enquiries and complaints as they relate to data matters
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE- Robust knowledge of new and emerging technology risks and how these applies in a corporate and commercial environment within an enterprise compliance frameworks;
- Minimum of 4 Years + demonstrable experience working at middle management level within a multinational environment, ideally within the second line of defence
- Solid understanding of data laws, standards and associated compliance requirements e.g., EU AI Act.
SKILLS
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to convey complex technical data matters in simple terms to key stakeholders;
- Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities to deadlines whilst collaborating with multiple stakeholders and teams;
- Embraces a ‘hands on’ attitude to problem solving and takes pride in owning deliverables as part of a high performing team;
- Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrable understanding and experience of OneTrust or equivalent compliance platform.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, sense of humour and a desire to learn.
Relevant Professional Qualifications
- Recognised privacy and or IT audit qualification preferred e.g., CRISC, CISA, etc.
- OneTrust accreditations desirable e.g., IAPP AIGP.
