Job Summary

As a Fleet Presentation Operations Manager, you are responsible for leading ground service operations within Swissport’s Fleet Presentation business. This role ensures the timely, safe and high-quality delivery of aircraft cleaning and presentation services in line with aviation standards and customer expectations. It also focuses on continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency, working closely with airline partners to manage logistics and reflective aircraft turnarounds.

Your activities

  • Lead and manage all aircraft interior cleaning operations, ensuring compliance with airline standards and turnaround timelines.
  • Maintain strict adherence to aviation hygiene, safety and security protocols across all ground service activities.
  • Collaborate with airline representatives and airport authorities to ensure service delivery aligns with flight schedules and operational requirements.
  • Oversee the availability, maintenance and scheduling of sound services staff and equipment to deliver services.
  • Monitor performance and implement proactive training and develop staff to minimise downtime and ensure all operational readiness.
  • Ensure all ground service equipment and procedures complies with relevant regulatory and operational standards.
  • Lead, train and supervise a team of ground service personnel, including aircraft cleaners, drivers and support staff.
  • Develop and manage shift rosters, allocating resources effectively to meet fluctuating operational demands.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of cleaning procedures and fleet presentation operations to maintain service quality and compliance.
  • Develop and implement procedures and processes to ensure effectiveness and comply with standards
  • Investigate safety and environmental incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Track and report on identified key performance indicators (KPIs), including aircraft turnaround times, cleaning service quality metrics and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present operational reports and performance insights to senior management.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, cost reductions and enhanced service delivery.

Your profile

  • Tertiary qualifications in logistics, aviation management, or related fields (preferred but not essential).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in airport ground services, fleet operations or aviation logistics.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft cleaning standards and ground handling procedures.
  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience in problem solving and examining ways to improve processes.
  • Strong knowledge of airport safety and compliance regulations.
