The Role: Facilities Management Executive
Join British Airways as a Facilities Management Executive, where you’ll play a key role in managing our property services and infrastructure. This dynamic position is aligned with our Engineering and Operations Base. If you have experience working in an industrial or operations facilities management background, your expertise will directly contribute to the operational efficiency, safety, and strategic success of our facilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee flexible, cost-effective, and efficient facilities management aligned with business and operational goals.
- Manage key external relationships with local authorities, landlords, and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead the 24/7 facilities operations and ensure compliance with health, safety, statutory, and environmental regulations.
- Act as the operational lead for strategic programmes, ensuring delivery to client specifications and meeting time, cost, and quality standards.
- Deliver supplier and resource management to maintain property services and infrastructure at the highest standards.
- Serve as a single point of contact for a designated client area, ensuring smooth communication and service delivery.
- Audit facilities to ensure operational readiness and compliance, driving improvements and innovations.
What You’ll Bring to British Airways:
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Analytical abilities to interpret business information, solve problems, and identify opportunities.
- Expertise in managing property portfolios, regulatory compliance, and supplier relationships.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Passion for integrating sustainable practices into facilities management.
Your Experience:
- Proven operational management experience, particularly in industrial or operations facilities settings.
- Background in budgeting, stakeholder management, and facilities/supplier management.
- Formal training or equivalent experience in building services maintenance and total facilities management.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, health and safety, and environmental regulations.
- Health and Safety Level 2 or Aviation Security Manager Level 3 qualifications (desirable).
