Come join our dynamic team of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) professionals! Raytheon has an opportunity for an energetic, motivated, and self-directed Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Manager to join our Raytheon Andover, MA EHS team. This person will support our ongoing environmental compliance, risk reduction, and sustainability efforts. The Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Manager will have an opportunity to manage a team of EHS professions, programs, drive risk reduction, and continuous improvement in environmental compliance programs.
What You Will Do
Lead and develop a team of EHS professionals to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company requirements for Environmental Compliance and Sustainability
Manage programs, including, but not limited to, hazardous waste management, stormwater and ground-water protection plans, wastewater, air quality permitting, and toxic chemical reporting.
Understand the goals and priorities for the Raytheon EHS organization and effectively support/lead/motivate the Environmental team to accomplish them.
Strategize, motivate, and lead the team to meet the Raytheon Environmental goals. Be flexible and adapt as priorities shift.
Build a high performing team, boost morale, and create a positive working environment.
Identify pain points and barriers for team members and develop/implement the strategy to remove them
Partner with local functional leaders to streamline processes or resolve problems where EHS is a stakeholder.
Execute initiatives, programs, reports, and training, as required to achieve and maintain compliance.
Prepare and manage documentation relating to environmental & sustainability policies in preparation for audits
Provide proper documentation in preparation for permits and liaise with governmental bodies
Achieve and maintain consistency of Environmental record keeping and documentation with organizational and regulatory policy
Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Interact with employees, promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site. Work toward building partnerships across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs.
Develop and implement sustainability practices and programs related to waste, water, and greenhouse gases in alignment with our long-term goals.
Apply for new permits and permit renewals with regulatory
Identify environmental risk and complete due diligence; plan, develop, and implement long-range remedial environmental solutions in order to reduce environmental risk and protect company assets.
Investigate and resolve environmental questions and concerns
Participate in limited travel for participation in company seminars, EHS audits, site support, and training opportunities.
*Must be able to respond to emergencies after hours as needed on an infrequent basis*
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
Knowledge and the application of Federal, State & local regulatory requirements
Experience in environmental compliance including, hazardous waste management, stormwater and ground-water protection plans, wastewater, air quality permitting, and toxic chemical reporting.
U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience managing wastewater treatment plants
Wastewater Treatment License Industrial Grade 4 Full
Demonstrated data management and reporting skills and strong computer skills, including use of the Microsoft Office Suite and use of management information systems
Project management and execution skills
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Must be able to work well independently and within a team environment

Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
