KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
New Pacific Airlines (NPA) is seeking a Director of Flight Standards (DFS) to uphold and advance our core values of reliability, safety, commitment, integrity, and connectedness by ensuring excellence in flight operations, training, and compliance. The DFS is responsible for standardizing aircraft operations, overseeing Check Airmen, and ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). This role requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership to maintain the highest standards in operational safety and efficiency. Other responsibilities aligned with New Pacific Airways Core Values include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring standardized training, qualifications, and operations for all company aircraft types.
- Overseeing Check Airmen, Program Managers, and technical performance systems.
- Authoring and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Flight Standards Manual (FSM).
- Acting as a liaison with the FAA and ensuring adherence to FARs.
- Managing and distributing regulatory and operational documentation.
- Mitigating compliance risks and maintaining document accuracy and currency.
- Providing technical oversight for fleet performance, FMS databases, and system specifications.
- Monitoring and improving the quality and usability of training and operational materials.
- Overseeing training quality for outsourced and in-house programs.
- Implementing XML-centric solutions for modular publications.
- Aligning flight operations with the latest industry and regulatory standards.
- Leading the integration of technological advancements into company’s training and operational systems.
