We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to serve as a Functional Manager within our Software Engineering organization. This position offers the chance to make a lasting impact within the Advanced Electronic Warfare Solutions (AEWS) while advancing your own leadership career.
In this position, you will guide a talented team of engineers while driving the design, implementation, and sustainment of mission-critical software solutions. You will spend time providing technical leadership through architecture reviews, overseeing program execution, and planning for next generation solutions. You will also lead on the people side, mentoring engineers, developing careers, and guiding performance across the team.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, mentoring, career development, and performance management for a team of 7-15 software engineers.
- Conduct one-on-one and section level meetings.
- Provide a safe, inclusive culture.
- Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new team members to meet business needs.
- Use your technical skills and experience to ensure the design, implementation, and sustainment of our software solutions meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Support program execution through cost and schedule management, and metrics tracking.
- Contribute to bid and proposal efforts.
- Collaborate with other functional managers and discipline leads to ensure program success.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role/program, the expectation is that this job will be performed fully on site in Nashua, NH.
