1st shift role Mon - Fri, 8 hour shifts
SUMMARY:
Under general supervision inspect wax patterns and assemblies for conformance to specifications following established methods and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work from inspection procedures, repair/gating programs and techniques, specifications, photographs and/or instructions to visually inspect and check wax patterns for surface finish and smoothness, blending of features, flash, non-fills, air bubbles, core pulls, holes and cracks.
- Detect, track and report defective parts or unusual conditions.
- Advise lead people, supervision, and wax operator of any apparent quality problems in an effort to correct them at that operation.
- Effectively communicate to Engineering when issues arise concerning defective parts.
- Load inspection data into the Worksmanship application spread sheet.
- Follow prescribed safety regulations. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform related duties, as assigned.
- Must know and follow all departmental and company safety rules.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The ability to translate information into an inspection report in a clear and legible manner
- The ability to read and understand acceptance criteria and perform thorough visual inspections.
- Must comply with all applicable safety requirements, policies and procedures, while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Must report any work-related injury or illness immediately to your direct supervisor.
- Must participate in required training, medical monitoring, safety, and health evaluations and programs.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas of facility.
- Perform all physical functions* of position
- Meet established attendance standards.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimal computer skills
- Read and follow instructions
- Organize and file paperwork
- Use simple arithmetic including decimals and fractions.
- Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules or similar information.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, turn, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, kneel, stoop, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
