We are looking for summer help to assist in our assembly, packing, grit and other applicable areas within our manufacturing environment.
All Assemblers:
- Day shift core hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm
- May assist in different departments and/or roles as needed based on business need.
Grit Assembler:
- Prepare the parts for finishing work, taping and tumbling parts. Putting parts in fixtures, grit spray.
- Mask and or remove tape using razor and or xacto blades.
- Possible light machining, polish, clean and deburr metallic parts.
- Lifting heavy trays at times.
Karon Applicator:
- Potential light machining/finishing such as polish, clean and deburr metallic parts.
- Taping and painting of parts, using different methods. Mask and or remove tape using razor and or xacto blades.
- Spraying parts (respirator maybe required). Using a spray gun similar to spraying a car.
- Assemble components together.
Pack Assembler:
- Packing parts into bags/boxes and shipping containers.
- Create and apply labels to packages as required utilizing computer software.
- Set-up / operate packaging, laser spaning and assembly press equipment.
- Assemble components together.
- Some light finishing work on parts such as polish, clean and deburr metallic parts.
- Fast paced processes.
- Often heavy lifting, such as heavy trays is involved, up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Referred candidates to the Kamatics Human Resources Department from current employees will be preferred.
- Dependable, flexible, strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, ability to follow guided instructions, motivated, focused on quality and teamwork.
- The ability to work with chemicals; PPE is required and provided including the use of respirators for some of the roles/processes.
- Noisy environment and the use of hearing protection is required in certain areas.
- The ability to lift heavy parts, up to 50 pounds in certain value streams.
