Job Description:

The Structures Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on customer aircraft structures and components. This role fabricates and modifies structural parts, performs minor composite repairs, assists with hidden damage inspections, supports complex structural repairs on or off aircraft, and removes or installs aircraft components as needed. The technician adheres to environmental, health, and safety policies, participates in 5-S activities, operates ground support equipment, documents all work in accordance with manuals and regulations, and assists with other maintenance disciplines, towing, and off-site maintenance as required. Work is performed safely and efficiently while complying with general work requirements.

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* Sheet metal aircraft technical school or equivalent schooling.
* A minimum of 3 years of aircraft structural sheet metal repair/modification experience.
* Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
* Authorized to work in the United States.
* Basic PC skills.
* Ability to obtain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required. Professional Attributes

* Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Job Duties & Functions
* Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
* Fabricate or modify structural aircraft parts.
* Perform minor structural repairs on composite components.
* Assist with hidden damage inspections and complex structural repairs on or off aircraft.
* Remove and install aircraft components as required.
* Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
* Participate in 5-S activities and maintain a safe work environment.
* Document all work per the appropriate manuals and regulations.
* Operate ground support equipment as required.
* Assist with mechanical or electrical removals and installations as needed.
* Assist with off-site maintenance and towing operations as required.
* Adhere to general work requirements for factory, shop, or hangar positions. Physical Requirements & Environment
* Ability to lift and handle aircraft components and tools.
* Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, and reaching.
* Ability to work outdoors in seasonal and inclement weather conditions.
* Work in a hangar and shop environment with exposure to aircraft fluids and noise.
